SHAEP

SHAEP is Sag Harbor Elementary School's Before and After School Care Program supervised by Sag Harbor staff members.  Children enjoy outdoor play (weather permitting), get a start on their homework, play games and make crafts.

Program Details

  • The SHAEP program will begin on Monday, September 14, 2026.  
  • Students in PreK through Grade 5 are eligible to attend everyday that school is in session.
  • SHAEP for Grade K-5 is held at the Sag Harbor Elementary School and SHAEP for our PREK students is at the Learning Center.  
  • Morning SHAEP begins at 7:45am and operates until the children move to their classes. Afternoon SHAEP begins at dismissal and runs until 5:15pm.


Cost

  • Each SHAEP session has a fee of $12.  
  • Morning SHAEP costs $12 per day. Afternoon SHAEP costs $12 per day.
  • Families receiving Free/Reduced Lunch may be eligible for a reduced rate

 

Registration

  • Starting in the 2026-2027 school year, Sag Harbor Elementary School will be using a new product called MSB Activities to sign-up for before and after school sessions of SHAEP – click here to review MSB Activities SHAEP Sign-up Guide
  • Families MUST register in advance by visiting MSBActivities. 
  • Registration for AM and PM SHAEP must be compelted by midnight of the day before your child will attend.
  • There is no day-of online registration.  Please feel free to contact Anne Galanty at 631.725.5300 ext 700 or agalanty@sagharborschools.org for further assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No, there is no online day-of registration.  

    Families MUST register in advance by visiting MSBActivities.

  • We strongly recommend that you use a computer and web browser to register and edit SHAEP enrollments.  While the system works on a phone, it tends to be more difficult to view/edit days and make updates.

  • If you are having technical issues with your account, please call the MySchoolBucks / MSBActivities support line:

  • As a starting point, all students must get added to a parent’s MySchoolBucks account.  If you are in MSBActivities and you do not see one of your children available for registration, please do the following:

     

    1. Go to MySchoolBucks.com and login to your account
    2. Click on “+ Add Student”
    3. Search for your student using his/her name and date of birth
    4. Click Add student on the results page

    Once the student appears in your MySchoolBucks account, then he/she will appear in your MSBActivities.com account and be available for SHAEP enrollment.

  • If you are seeing both students names when you are editing the enrollment, then you had selected both students when you first registered for SHAEP.  As a result, all adds, removals, edits will apply to both chlidren.  This might work well for some families who will always send all children to SHAEP at the same time, but if you need to have them separated, we can assist on the back end.

    To resolve this, please email Anne Galanty and explain that you need to withdraw one of the children from the enrollment record (pick one of the student records).  After withdrawal, you can start a new registration for that student and the record can live independently.
