Sag Harbor Prekindergarten Students Meet Local First Responders

Prekindergarten students at Sag Harbor Learning Center recently welcomed local first responders for an engaging learning experience focused on community safety.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to explore a fire truck up close, learning about the equipment firefighters use to respond to emergencies. They also toured a police cruiser and met a police dog, delighting in the chance to see firsthand how officers and their canine partners help keep the community safe.
First responders spoke with students about their important roles, offering insights into how they protect and serve the public. The interactive experience helped students build familiarity and trust while gaining a better understanding of safety and the people who support their community.
